The apty and commonly called 'Pony Tail Grass' with leaves and stems so thin that they float like hair in the slightest breeze. Fresh green in the spring fading to biscuit brown tones by late summer.

Some people cut back hard in late winter but I favour a thorough combing to get rid of spent flower stems in early autumn as the only maintenance required

Likes a sunny spot on well drained soil
